I've Spent The Last Few Days Trying To Remember What Happened After They Were Born And i Really Don't Remember Much. What I Do Remember Is Them Saying That One Baby Was One Pound Nine Ounces And The Other Was Two Pounds One Ounce. My Heart Sunk And I Instantly Thought The Worst. They Are Too Small To Make IT. I Won't Ever See Them. It Sounds Horrible I know But I Was Still In Such A shock From Actually Having The Babies That All I Could Think About Was The Bad. I Was Speachless The Whole Time. I Couldn't Say Anything. I Just Laid there And Lokked At The Cieling Not Really Caring What They Did To Me. I Couldn't Stop Thinking About My Babies Being So Small And Thinking That They Would Never Live A Normal Healthy Life If They Even Made It. The Doctors Were In A Rush To Take Out My epidural Because My Blood Platelets Were So Low. The Next Day My Doctor Told Me That If They Would Have Waited Any Longer They Would Have Had To Put Me Under For The Surgery Because My Platlets Were Dropping So Quickly. I'm Not Sure When They Put It In My IV But They Put Me On Some Magnesium Sulfate I'm Still Not Sure Why But I Think It's For My Platlets. It Made Me Very Loopy And Not Feel Well. So The Last Thing I Remembered Was Them Wheeling Me In To The NICU And Them Telling Me That They Were Ok And That The Scale Was Off When they Weighed Them And that They Actually Weighed two pounds eleven And Two Pounds Twelve. I Felt Much Better About It. I Don't Even Remember Being Wheeled Out Of The NICU. Ron Apparently Went Home And Grabbed Some Things For Us So He Could Stay At Neil And Callens With Madison. The Next Thing I Remember Was Being woke Up Every Fortyfive Min To Check My Vitals. Anyone Who Has Stayed In The Hospital Knows How Annoying It Is To Be Woken Up.I Was Poked And Prodded Over And Over Again. They Had To Watch Me Very Closely For The First Twenty Four Hours Because It Is The Most Dangerous Time. My Blood Platlets Were Half Of What They Were The Day Before And i Did Not Feel Well! When They Would Check Me they Didn't Just Do The Normal Massage The Uterus, Blood Pressure Stuff. Along With All Of That They Had To Check My Reflexes In My knees And Some Nurses Would Check Them In My Wrists And Elbows As Well. They Would Take Off My Leg Compressers And Hand MAssage For A Min. That Is Quite Annoying. Ron Came Back Early The Next Afternoon With Some Clothes And Brushes. More Comming.....

They Finished Cleaning Me Out And Got Me Stitched Up And Immediately Took Out The Epidural Because My Blood Count Was So Bad. But While They Were Cleaning Up (Don't Read If You Get Queasy Easily) They Took Out My Uterus And He Started Squeezing And Said To Ron "This Is A Side Of Your Wife You've Never Seen Before" Ron Just Nodded His Head. I Later Asked The Doctor Why They Do That And He Said That It Is To Shock It So It Stop's Bleeding. They Stitched Me Up And Put Me On Another Bed And Wheeled Me Into Triage To Recover. Ron And I Sat For A While Then They Said Ron Could Go See The boys So He Went For A While And Let Me Sleep For A Few Min. When He Came Back He Told Me They Weighed One Pound Nine Ounces And The Other Was Two Pounds One Ounce. My Stomach Just Sunk. Ron Said That They Looked Biger Than That But That Is What They Told Him. Later That Day They Told Us That Their Scales Were Off And That They Acctually Weighed Two Pounds Eleven Ounces And Two Pounds Twelve Ounces. That Was A Great Relief. We Sat In The Triage until I Was Feeling Better And They Wheeled Me On The Bed In To Go See The Boys. I Couldn't Realy See Them Because They were In Their Isolettes And Were Higher Than I Was. They Wheeled Me To My Room And I Don't Remember Much After That. I Do Remember Ron Telling Me "Ya Know Jessica Your Uterus Is Really Ugly And The Inside Of Your Body Really Stinks!" I Remember Laughing But That's About It.

My Little Angels

I'm Not Much Of A Writer Or A Story Teller But I Want To Tell The Story Of My Little Angels, Luke And Landon. On The Morning Of Saturday December 26th I Woke Up Not Feeling Well. I Went About The Morning Normally And Figured I Just Had A Bug. Ron Went To Work And My Family All Had Gone To Grandma And Grandpa Wrights House, We Planned On Going Once Ron Got Off Work. Ron Was Late Getting Off Work And I Still Didn't Feel Well So We Decided To Just Stay Home And Play Games That Madison Got For Christmas. We played A Few Games But I Just Felt Worse Than Earlier So I Laid On The Couch And Fell Asleep. I Napped Off And On The Rest Of The Evening Waking Up In More Pain Each Time. Around Eleven That Night I Decided To Get Up And Go To Bed. When I Stood Up I Felt So Sick And Had An Excruciating Pain In My upper Stomach That Wrapped Around Into My Upper Back. It Took Me A Long Time To Be Able To Stand Up And Get To My Room Because The Pain Was So Bad. I Was Able To Lay Down But Not able To Fall Asleep. I Was In So Much Pain That It Hurt To Breath. I Called Ron Into The Room And Told him How Bad I was Feeling And We Both Decided That I Had Probably Cought A Bug And i Was Getting Dehydrated. I Tried To Fall Asleep Thinking That I Would Feel Better In The Morning but Sleep Wouln't Come. I Laid There for What Seemed Like Forever. I Talked To Ron And We Decided That It Would Be Best To Go To the hospital and Get Checked Out. We Called The Tremonton Hospital And Asked If IT Would Even Be Worth Our Time To Go In, And They Said Where I Was Pregnant With Twins They Would Just Send Me To McKay Dee Hospital Anyways So We Decided To Just Head There On Our Own. It Was Around Two In the Morning So Ron Started The Car To Get It Warm While He Got Madison Out Of Bed And I Got My Boots On And We Headed To Ogden. The Whole Way There The Only Thing I Could Think Was GO FASTER RON! GO FASTER! I Felt Like The Life Was Being Sucked Out Of Me. The Pain In My Stomach And In My Back Was More Than I Could Stand. I Couldn't Talk Or Even Cry. I Just Prayed That He Would Go Faster. When We Arrived At The Hospital We All Went In And They Got Me Registered And Told Ron That Because Of The Swine flu They Were Not Allowing Anyone Under The Age Of Forteen In The Hospital So Ron Called His Brother Neil Who Lives A Few Min Away And Asked If They Could Watch Madison While He Stayed With Me In The Hospital. We (Ron And I) Had Decided that i Was Just Really Dehydrated And Would Need IV Fluids For A Few Hours And Would Be Released The Next Morning So Ron Took Madison To Neil And Callens House And Came Back To The hospital. By Then I Had Been Taken Up To The Fourth Floor Labor And Delivery. They Had Me Change Into A Gown And They Hooked Me up To The Stress Test To Make Sure The Babies Were Ok. I Wasn't Having any Contractions And When Ron Came Into The Room They Were Getting Ready To Draw Blood To Run Some Tests. The Nurse Who Was Drawing The blood Looked For Veins But Couldn't Find Anything Very Good But Decided To try A Vein In My right Elbow. She Missed And Was Too Nervous To Try Again So She Called Another Nurse To Come And try. Well Finding Blood In My Body turned Into A Very Long And Painfull Process. I Was Poked Five Times. And not Just Poked They Would Poke And Dig For Several Min Trying To Find Blood. On The Fifth needle They Decided It Would Be the Last Time They Try. They Ended up Finding A Vein Finally. Needless To Say I Was Pretty Sore. While We Waited For Any Test Results To Come Back They wheeled Me Into A Different Room To Wait. At Around five In The Morning The Nurse Came In And Had A Look On Her Face That We Knew Wasn't Good. She Only Said Things Aren't Looking Good. I Was In shock. I Asked If The babies Were Ok And She Said Yes So I Relaxed A Little But She Said She Had Called The Doctor And That He Was Coming As Quickly As Possible. Thats All We Knew. We Decided That We Should Call And Tell Our Parents. About A Half An hour LAter My Doctor (Albert Hartman) Came In Still In His Coat And Noral Clothes And Touched My Stomach And Said Things Aren't good. We Need To Deliver The Babies Immediately. I'm Going To Go Consult Another Doctor Just So you Know that It Is What Needs To Be Done. The nurse Threw Some Clothes At Ron And Told Him to Hurry and Get Dressed. I Went To The Bathroom Really Quickly Then they Laid Me On The Bed And Wheeled Me To The Labor And Delivery Operating Room. I Sat Up On The Operating Table And they Gave Me My Epidural. I Laid Down And A while Later They Were ready To Start. For Those Of you Who Have Had C-Sections You Know How Strange It feels. I Could feel Everything They were Doing I Just Didn't Have Any Pain. Ron Sat At My Side In His Sweat Shirt And Robe. He Was Sweating So Bad I Could See The Sweat Build Up On the Hat That They Gave Him. He Finally Got So Hot That He Had To Step Out For A Min. He Came Back For A Min But Had To Leave Again But While He Was out He Took His Sweater Off And Was Able To Stay The Rest Of The time With Me. The Took Out "Baby A" At Six Forty nine And "Baby B" Was A Quick Min Later At Six fifty.
